The
Ipswich High School Class of 1966 celebrated its
45th
Reunion September 16 - 18, 2011. Forty four class members and their spouses
or significant others,
totaling 71 spent the weekend in Ipswich sharing their memories,
friendships and enjoying the town of Ipswich. They came from near and far –
Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Minnesota, Florida, Tennessee,
Kentucky, New York, Arizona, and New Mexico. The festivities began on Friday
night with an informal gathering at the VFW with classmates enjoying the
company of their beloved Principal Joe Rogers and his wife Ethel and
teachers David Welsh, “Coach” Jack Welch, Charlie Dort and Terry Holmes.
Many joined a tour given by our own Becky Fessenden Cormier of the Crane Castle on Saturday morning.
A
fun-filled evening
was enjoyed by all Saturday at the Masonic Temple with great food catered by Vinwood
Caterers, ‘60s music provided by J & C Entertainment, photography provided
by Dancing Shadow Photography (Harry and Jan Howarth),
trivia games, and plenty of old and new
photos. The weekend ended with a tour given by our own Margot Fisher
Sherwood of the “new” high school on Sunday
morning.
